A series that addresses head on one of the most pressing and current issues in society as well as aesthetics, diversity. In this season, Thriving in Diversity will take a unique approach to the topic by being sensitive to the cultural and historical concerns of different gender backgrounds with varying sexual preferences by inviting experts and treating patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures.  No series has taken a similar comprehensive approach to better understanding the sensitive issues that influence aesthetics from the relative perspective of the specific culture.The target audience will be healthcare providers globally.

Learning Objectives for the Series 

A comprehensive programming dedicated to diversity in aesthetics.

  • Understand the similarities and differences in anatomy and its impact on individuals identifying from a spectrum of ethnic/sexual/gender preferences, psychosocial backgrounds and how this may influence products or techniques utilized.
  • Understand the nuances in social customs that may influence the techniques and treatments recommended and its acceptance in various ethnic/sexual/ gender preferences.
  • Learn the sensitivities in individual culture and gender identifying persons and how their preferences may influence motivators for undergoing aesthetic patients.
  • Be introduced to effective communication and listening skills that are inherent to each category of focus.
  • Explore the spectrum of socioeconomic backgrounds and the individual approaches to aesthetics for patients from various positions in society as well as the impact aesthetic treatments have on them as individuals.
  • Understand the economics of aesthetics and how it influences consumer behaviors of patients from a variety of ethnic/sexual/gender background.
